I
was born in Bristol, and moved to Gloucester in 1988. I have been
interested in photography since my early teens, getting myself in debt
to buy a Praktica SLR and 2 lens camera kit from Dixons in the centre of
Bristol. It was great fun taking photos, teaching myself how to use it,
not so great not being able to afford to get the photos developed ! All
the same the love of photography stayed with me right to the digital
revolution.
My first Digital SLR was my Canon 300D, the first Digital SLR that was affordable to people like me on a relatively low income but with a yearning to get my teeth back in to photography. The switch to Digital has been great for me, and one that I have embraced with all I have. No more processing bills ! My 300D was a great little camera and one that is still going strong now, my partner, Jen's Dad now has it and uses it frequently.
I have stayed with Canon throughout, moving on to a 400D and now a 40D, with yearnings for a new 5D mkII, when funds allow, but for now the 40D does everything I want it to and more, and my money was better invested in professional L lenses of which I have 2 plus the 50mm prime.
My work has taken me in many different directions, from pet photography to corporate shoots, I have also been asked to write ! How scary is that ! :) I do pictures ! Oh write about pictures, thats ok then ;).

Contrary to how my photo above portrays me !, I am friendly and accommodating, and listen to my clients needs, and as far as pets and children are concerned, have been told I have the patience of a saint ! But in truth, I find pets in particular very easy to photograph, they may take their time, but almost always eventually they will give that look that the owners love and recognise, and I am usually lucky enough to shoot it as it happens. Children will be children !, allow them a little cheek and input and they will shine. :). I like to joke around a little and from pets to adults, you will soon feel at ease and enjoy your shoot resulting in natural looking photos for you to take away and enjoy forever.
